TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “The Spiritual Significance of the Solstice — June 2018”

On June 21st the Sun shifts into the sign of Cancer signalling the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and the start of winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

Just like we track the cycles of the Moon from New to Full, we can track the cycles of the Sun. The word Solstice translates to “Sun standing still” and is a significant and sacred turning point that will bring a shift in energy.

In the Northern Hemisphere, we have the longest day of the year and the highest expression of the Sun’s energy, but this energy will start slowing moving inwards and the days will get shorter as we head towards the Autumn/Fall Equinox.

In the Southern Hemisphere, we have the shortest day of the year, and the lowest expression of the Sun’s energy. After this, the energy starts becoming more expansive, and the days get longer as we move towards the Spring Equinox.

We are all one, we are all connected, and we all live on the same planet, so to some extent we will all feel these energies in different ways.

Read about the significance for both the Summer and Winter Solstice below and how you can use the energy-

Summer Solstice (Northern Hemisphere)

The Summer Solstice is the highest point of energy for the year. We are bathed in the full power of the Sun and everything is illuminated.

The Sun is where we receive our life force energy, it is where we get our power and sustenance. Without the Sun, there would be no life.

Under the Summer Solstice, we are all going to be given a boost of power and a boost of energy in order to complete our goals and to get to work on creating whatever it is that we desire.

We are going to be guided to illuminate areas of our lives that have been hidden and we are going to be encouraged to step forward for all of the world to see.

Whatever seeds we have planted during the Spring Equinox will now be in full bloom, and we will be able to reap the rewards of our harvest.

This is a powerful time for manifestation work, to give thanks to the Sun, and to recharge our own life force energy.

Doing things that make us feel alive and getting out in nature are all great ways to honor this special time of year.

While the Summer Solstice is a perfect time to celebrate the Sun, the giver of life, there is also a deeper knowing that Autumn is coming, and eventually we, along with Mother Earth will have to shed, release, and let go in order to be reborn.

If we look to nature for guidance, everything is alive and vibrant under the Sun, but soon enough the leaves will start to turn brown and we will enter into a new point in the cycle of life and death.

Life is forever changing, and nothing ever stays the same. While our time under the rays of the warm Sun is beautiful and bright, eventually we will reach a point where we have harvested and expressed ourselves all we can, and the time will come to retreat within.

Just like the seasons, we are always changing and we are always being encouraged to go with the flow of our lives. This is the perfect time to honor all that you are, and to remember that the light will rise once again.

TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “The Spiritual Significance of the March Equinox 2017”

The Spiritual Significance of the March 2017 Equinox

The annual March 20-21 Equinox heralds the start of the astrological new year and the start of a new season.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the March Equinox represents the starting of Spring and a time where the energies of new birth and creativity are at their highest.

In the Southern Hemisphere, the March Equinox symbolises the starting of Autumn, a time to release and let go of the old in order to prepare for the winter.

No matter where you live, the Equinox is a significant spiritual and astrological event that you can use to tap into the wisdom and energy of Mother Earth and the Universe.

Equinoxes happen twice a year and occur when the hours of light and dark are equal. There is rich symbolism here, which makes the Equinox a wonderful time to celebrate the duality of life.

On this physical realm, in this 3D world there is duality. On the energetic realms however, there is only one.

It is easy for us to rationalize and understand separation and duality with our logical minds, but when you enter into the higher realms, you understand that everything is connected and we are all one in the same.

This can be seen in the yin and yang symbol. There is a little bit of everything, in everything and together it all makes up a whole.

Perhaps we are reminded of this fact on the Equinox.

There is no lightness reigning supreme over darkness, there is no darkness overcoming lightness, instead everything is in balance.

This balance helps to remind us about the sweetness and bitterness to life. This balance helps to remind us that at the end of the day, we are all equal and we are all the same.

All of us here on this planet are simply on a journey. Even though our journeys may look different, they are probably more similar and connected than we realize.

The 2017 Equinox is the perfect time to honor all areas and aspects of your life and the circumstances that surround you.

It is the perfect time to bring acceptance to your life no matter the circumstances or the judgements over what is good and what is bad, and to instead honor the journey.

It is also a time to celebrate how far you have come and how much you have grown over the course of the year.

The March Equinox is also considered the start of the astrological new year. This is because the Sun shifts into the constellation of Aries, which is regarded as the first out of the 12 constellations used in astrology.

Whether you live in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, the energy of Aries makes it a perfect time to start thinking about what is next and what you would like the next few months to feel like.

Perhaps make a list of all the feeling words you would like to create in your life moving forward and see if you can start creating those feelings in small ways every single day.

This year’s Equinox is the perfect time to honor the growth and the pain, the light and the darkness and all the experiences that have made you who you are today. It is the perfect time to love yourself and learn to find gratitude and peace with the journey you are on.

TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “The Spiritual Significance of November 11”

November 11.png

November 11 is a vibrationally powerful day due to the fact that it is the 11th day of the 11 month.

1111 or 11/11 holds special spiritual significance as it is believed to be the number of spiritual awakenings and powerful new beginnings.

When you frequently see 11:11 on the clock or when you are drawn to the number 1111, it often indicates an upcoming change or awakening that is on the horizon for you.

Angels, spirit guides and the Universe also use numbers as a way to connect and communicate with you. 1111 is commonly used by Divine beings to help point you in the right direction and to illuminate the path ahead for you.

In numerology, the number one indicates new beginnings but when there is a series of ones, like on November 11 (11/11) it creates a powerful energy for the day that allows us to all awaken to a new potential.

November 11 is therefore a powerful time to make changes in your life, set intentions or to dig deeper in order to uncover the truth.

New awakenings, new information and new levels of enlightenment are all possible on this day due to this energy.

2016 is a number 9 year, which means that this year November 11 is going to fall under the vibration of number 9.

Number 9 is all about endings, which means that November 11 is likely to bring new information to light that will allow one door to close and another to open.

November 11 may also help inspire you to think bigger and to start thinking about what you want this new chapter to look like for you.

Astrologically, November 11, 2016 is also a significant day due to the energy of the planet Venus.

Venus is considered the feminine goddess of the zodiac and her energy is going to be particularly strong on November 11 as well.

Venus is going to be helping us to open our hearts and see things from a place of unconditional love rather than fear.

In fact, the potent energy from Venus is also going to support us awakening to the infinite potential of our soul and the magic that lies within.

Venus energy is also going to be supporting us to think with our hearts instead of our heads and open up to the possibility of unconditional love for all beings. Romance and creativity is also going to be high on this day and this energy will carry us all through the rest of the week.

This powerful feminine energy is going to help all of us, both men and women, to embrace our inner goddess and to find the beauty, joy and optimism in life again.

If life has been feeling sluggish for you, if you have been feeling sick and tired of the same old thing, November 11 is definitely going to bring a breath of fresh air.

In order to use the energy of November 11 to your advantage, you have to activate it. You have to open your heart to the energy and welcome in the vibration of new beginnings.

For the most potent effect, set your alarm for 11:11 on November 11. Then at this time, set a new intention, affirmation or do a heart opening exercise to help you awaken to whatever messages you need to hear.

November 11, is also a great day to reach out your angels and spirit guides for divine inspiration.

TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “The Spiritual Significance of Your Birth Order”

spiritual-significance-of-birth-order-2

The family that you were born into is no mistake. Your soul chose your family because it knew that it would offer the best energy to support your highest spiritual development and growth.

The same goes for your birth order. Whether you are the oldest, youngest or only child, your birth order also carries a special spiritual significance.

THE FIRST BORN

On a deeper and more spiritual level, first born children are often extremely strong souls. Part of their purpose is to absorb majority of the family karma and to transform it into something new.

All families have their own karma and patterns that will continue to play out for generations, until someone steps up and heals and transforms this karmic energy.

In many ways, first borns are equipped to take on a lot of family energy in order to bring healing to it. If they master this, there is truly nothing first borns can’t handle.

First borns also act as powerful caretakers and nurturers on an energetic level. Whether consciously or not, they protect their other siblings and carry a lot of the family weight on their shoulders.

While they are strong enough to hold this weight, if things get too heavy to bear, it can lead to feelings of not being good enough or low self-esteem.

When they successfully hold this weight and are able to transform it into something positive, they rapidly advance and are often very successful in life.

THE MIDDLE BORN

The middle child has many talents that it needs to bring into the world, which is why it needs the shield of the first born and the camaraderie of the last born.

While the first born is busy holding up the shield, the middle born can get to work on what their soul has come to achieve.

In many ways, the first born and the middle born are often working together on an energetic level, even if it doesn’t seem that way on a physical level.

The middle born may also have to support the first born and hold them up when the going gets tough. At the same time, they may also have to support the last born as well, making them feel somewhat stuck or caught in the middle.

Most middle borns are natural mediators and are very good at working with people and working in a healing capacity. They are also usually diplomatic and can see things from a bigger picture view point.

Middle borns can also lose sight of who they are and easily get off track as they often doing things for other people.

When a middle born learns to own who they are and be more independent, they can often go on to birth and create new and exciting things.

THE LAST BORN

On a spiritual level, last borns were sent to bring a lightness and joy into the family. Last borns are all about bringing the family together, connecting with others and making long lasting friendships.

Last borns are usually more relaxed in how they approach life and are less likely to absorb a lot of heavy family karma.

Last borns often want to do things their own way and may beat to the tune of their own drum. In many ways, they strive to create their own path and lay down new energy for the family.

Because the older siblings typically absorb a lot of the heavy family karma, last borns can sometimes lack the ability to take responsibility for their lives. They can also lack maturity and need to learn how to be comfortable with creating their own path.

Last borns are often brought into a family to bring a fresh energy, optimism and a new way of looking at the world.

When last borns are able to take responsibility for their lives, they can go on to do innovative and inspiring things.

THE ONLY BORN

The only born child is very similar to the first born child, but in a more amplified way.

Only borns take on a lot of the family karma without having the middle born behind them for support.

This means that only born are often extremely independent and resilient. They are also more likely to step into a leadership role than a first-born.

Most souls that come in as only borns are usually there to help their parents to complete something or bring more energy to something that their parents have been working on.

On a deeper level, only borns have also come to learn how to deal with emotions and feelings of emotional security. This is because only borns can sometimes have a hard time relating with others or forming healthy bonds in relationships.

One of the key differences between first borns and only borns, is that only borns usually come to join the family dynamic whereas first borns usually come to change or transform something.

The significance of your birth order also depends on the energy of your family and the purpose of your soul at large. If you are the only male or female amongst your siblings, you may also resonate with elements of the first born.

TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “The Spiritual Significance of Halloween”

Spiritual Significance of Halloween.jpg

Halloween is all about celebrating the cycle of death and rebirth. The leaves are dying, nature is preparing for the still of winter and the year is reaching its end.

Death and rebirth is an important cycle that is seen in nature constantly, and it’s also something that is mirrored within us.

We are always going through our own process of shedding, releasing and rebirthing ourselves as we travel along the journey of life.

Halloween is a time to honor the deaths that we have all experienced throughout the year. It is a time to make peace with the things that have needed to be let go of and it is a time to celebrate the cycle of the new.

For centuries people have celebrated Halloween and the cycle of death and rebirth. In pagan times, the ritual of Halloween was known as Samhain.

Samhain falls on the auspicious day of 1/11 and on the night before the calendar ticks over into November, spiritual activity is at its highest.

One of the reasons that spiritual activity is so high on this night is due to the vibrations of the date 111. If you look at number 1 as a pillar, you can see that there are two pillars on either side with a pillar in the middle.

That middle pillar represents the veil and “being stuck” or in limbo between the two worlds. The veil between the living and the dead is also said to be thinnest due to the Sun’s position in the deep and intuitive sign of Scorpio.

Samhain is really a celebration of darkness, but not darkness as in evil. It is more about the darkness of the unknown, the subconscious mind and the intuition. It is about the darkness of the unseen worlds and the things that we can’t really make sense of with our rational minds.

In pagan times, important rituals were conducted on Samhain to celebrate death and to understand the darker, hidden realms of life. Through understanding the darkness, the knowledge of light also becomes stronger.

There are many other day’s of the year where the veil between the living and the dead is believed to be thin. These are often days that carry high spiritual significance due to numerology or astrology. Samhain or Halloween is just one of the more common dates in the west.

Because many people also celebrate Halloween, even if it is just through costumes and candy, it can still amplify spirit activity.

Halloween is not a night to be feared however. It is a time to give just a little extra thought into the darker things that lurk within. It is a time to give just a little extra thought to any subconscious  musings or intuitive hunches.

Halloween is also a great time to honor, celebrate and remember loved ones who have crossed over. It is also a powerful time for strengthening your intuition and connection to the Divine.

In 2016, Halloween falls just one day after the potent Scorpio New Moon which is definitely going to be amplifying all of this energy and really allowing us to explore the deeper, darker, hidden realms.

LJ VANIER: “6 Reasons Why Hoods Are Highly Spiritual — The Spiritual Significance of Hoods”

Possibly the strangest article I have ever posted… still… worth considering the possibilities… 🙂

Steviehood.jpg

During the middle ages, hoods were used for covering one’s identity. It was a way for many women to escape the unjust rules of dogmatic religion that sacrificed and burned them. Depending on their color, hoods signify different things. As a black cape with a hood oftentimes symbolizes a sinister being, a white cape with a white hood signifies purity, virginity, red has more of a sexual awakening meaning, so on and so forth.

What makes caps and hoods spiritual? How are they helping us connect with Higher Powers and Spirits? Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why they are.

  1. They create spiritual emotion

We practice rituals not because they are rules of a religion or any other spiritual practice but because they are a medium for us to build a connection with the Universe or in religious cases, with God. Wearing a cap, or a head cover helps one get into the emotional state of spiritual practice and creates some sort of connection through energies and vibrations. It is also a symbol of taking one’s practice seriously in certain cases. Many people who practice meditation state that they use hoods of certain shapes and colors depending on what they are trying to achieve and what kind of energy they are trying to connect with.

  1. Each fabric and shape has its own vibration

When we wear hoods in different shapes of animals, or made with different types of fabrics, we are attracting and reflecting a certain energy message from and to the Universe. That is why nowadays spirit hoods are very popular because each animal shape corresponds to a different psychological and spiritual state. So when you prepare to wear one, do a good research and find out what each of them represent. For example, a wrinkle or a certain shape on the cloth attracts certain waves from the atmosphere.

  1. They help increase our intuition

One of the ways we increase our intuition is through regular practice of meditation or prayer. We perceive spiritual vibrations from fabrics and other materials, therefore what we use as a hood is very important to understand what kind of vibration we will receive. Colors, shapes and patterns are also portals to the spiritual world and to our intuition and advanced levels of sixth sense too.

  1. We protect ourselves from negative energy

If we choose the appropriate hoods that carry positive and healing energies then we will be able to protect ourselves from negative energy as well. If we wear hoods that attract negative energy, we might not be able to protect ourselves from bad vibrations. This is one of the reasons why we need to do our research and pick our hoods wisely before we buy one or make one. Silk and cotton are mostly used in hoods to help attract positive vibes from the atmosphere. On the other hand, materials like artificial fibres, nylons, polyester or terylene have the power to soak up the negative vibrations. White, yellow, blue are among the positive colors as opposed to black, attracting stress and negativity. When a hood is dirty, it attracts more negativity and when it is clean it attracts positivity. There are so many little details like this we need to pay attention to.

  1. They help us reach freedom

Just like they attract positive and negative energies, they also help us get to a certain state of being by giving us the strength and encouragement we need to get there. For example wolf is the symbol of freedom among other things. If you choose a spirit hood with a wolf shape, then you will be able to connect with the certain kind of energy that will bring freedom to your life. Because remember, the shape, the color and the material of the hood greatly matter when it comes to spiritual energies.

  1. They help us change and get to the next level

There are many times in our lives where we feel stuck and in need of a change that will carry us to the next stage of our lives. Meditation is one form of realizing our current state and it helps us declutter our minds to see the alternate routes to get to the next level but using a hood while meditating and during times we are not meditating, would keep us closer to our target. Going back to creating the required emotional state, the kind of hood we will wear will determine, by keeping us awake and alert how smoothly and quickly we will get there.

There are certain animals considered highly powerful in symbolizing spiritual powers. The five most popular ones are:

-Wolves: symbolize intuition, instincts, intelligence and freedom

-Owls: symbolize wisdom, intuition, higher powers and all-seeing eye

-Bears: symbolize strength and self-confidence, leadership, healing powers and solitude

-Hawks: symbolize spirit world,  high focus and attention for detail, clear vision, self-sufficiency

-Foxes: symbolize increased awareness, physical and mental strength, ability to survive.
