INSIGHT STATE: “Path Of Spirituality: Spiritual Awakening Stages”

awakening

Spirituality is a natural function, a state of reconnection with the Self, with our Essence.  In order to find it and develop it, we must take a fresh look on who we are, our lives, and focus on the Essence.

To achieve our goal, we must pay attention to our sensations, emotions and thoughts.  Specifically: to encourage the positive ones (those that lift us) and to change the negative ones (those that get us down).  In other words, to learn to control them.

If not controlled, the Ego is trying to seize power and cut our connection with the Self, to divide us.  Spiritual development means to choose to pay attention to the Essence.  A re-education process is possible only if we use our qualities and take attitude.

This includes 6 spiritual awakening stages:

#1 Authenticity and integrity

By paying attention to our own sensations and feelings, we get the big picture objectively. A candid look, devoid of complacency, lies at the foundation of the inner edifice that we project.  Being honest with oneself implies sincerity, humility and simplicity.  An honest look within must be reflected in the way we express ourselves, act and behave.  Thus, the basic qualities come to light: authenticity and integrity.

#2 Determination and patience

The display of authenticity encounters fundamental fears (fear of loss, unknown, etc.), which are manifested in different forms — resistance, anxiety, denial. All tempt us to question and revise our beliefs.  We feel that we are alone, isolated from the world, without protection… a very uncomfortable sensation!

It takes determination, perseverance and courage to go on.  One might say it takes will as well, if the term itself wouldn’t be misunderstood: will doesn’t imply getting at any cost what you have imagined in terms of beliefs and emotions.  It means making clear choices and follow them through.  It means deciding to relinquish control and surrender to the Essence.

This also requires patience and confidence, because changes are determined by the intelligence of the body and heart, by the pace of what we have to heal and integrate, not by the impulsive desires of our personality.

#3 Refusing critics and accusations

When you feel bullied or stripped by another person, emotions are overwhelming.  The experience itself is very interesting, because it allows you to see your sensitive sides exactly, thus learning more about yourself.  Usually you discover an old wound, a lack of affection, a reaction to rejection etc.  In other words, even if aggression is real, it is interesting to understand the message behind it, which you need to take into consideration.  The situations we face are a reaction to something within ourselves, a manifestation of our inner being.

Spiritual evolution begins the moment we cease to accuse others for our troubles, because we understand that they are the reflection of our own wounds.  Spiritual attitude begins when we stop waiting for the others to satisfy our need for love and attention, and we understand that we can be masters of our own lives when we relinquish control and connect to our inner being.  Bonus: expanded consciousness will enable us to see injured and clumsy beings in others, but also their bright side.

#4 Consciousness and responsibility

Working on developing these qualities, we develop and refine our self-consciousness.  Being more aware of what is going on within ourselves and everything around us becomes a path to spiritual evolution.  It’s like stepping back to see the big picture and distinguish the real forces behind appearances, behind the games of life.

Consciousness is the key to our evolution.  A sharp mind helps us understand that we are responsible for our lives.  This is another important step towards spiritual growth.

#5 A lucid and tender view

Becoming a lucid observer of our own being and facing the lights and shadows doesn’t mean to keep a record of our flaws and imperfections and to feel guilty.  In connection with his inner being, the observer acts as a caring parent to the child’s development, combining kindness and tenderness with rigor.

Effusing upon yourself all the kindness and compassion is an excellent way of healing the soul and open to the Self.

#6 Laugh at yourself

A tender look on ourselves is proof that we can step back and see ourselves as a different person.  In other words, it is a posture in which we can laugh at ourselves and everything else, because we identify all the games that underpin our actions and attitudes: fear, power, seduction, etc.

When we take ourselves too seriously, we are dominated by a certain rigidity of the mind, which wants to make us believe that we are somebody, in which case there is no honesty, nor simplicity.

Note: This laughter is accompanied by a tender, loving look upon us and others.  Love lifts us, irony holds us down.

Spiritual evolution is based on the recognition of our inner forces and how they work.  It is a quasi biological and neurological recognition of our forces and sensations.  It translates as an exchange of vitality and energy.

STEPHANIE LUCAS: “On the Path to Enlightenment: A Spiritual Journey to Happiness”

Header-21A-700x325 (5).jpg

Did you ever want to be an astronaut when you were growing up? I certainly did, and while it may appear that I am a mere storyteller, researcher, and writer for purveyors of living clay and healing crystals and stones — I AM AN ASTRONAUT — of sorts, anyway. My spirit feels free to travel within the cosmos every single day…without boarding a space shuttle or having multiple science degrees, exploring the Universe is possible for many through deep states of meditation and particularly those that take me down the path of enlightenment.

“There are particular types of seeds that remain dormant until they are broken open by a forest fire. Likewise, there is a seed within you that opens by the fire of your readiness to transform. Challenges are the great awakeners, and we welcome them we ignite inner fire of transformation and invite a greater vision for our life to emerge from within us.”

~The Lift Off Life, Michael Bernard Beckwith

Why am I So Darned Happy Most of the Time??

Seems this is a very common question/comment in my world these days. Don’t get me wrong… I certainly have not always been a little beaming ray of love and light, and I still have moments of drama filled confusions… and without a doubt, I was about as far off the path to enlightenment as the Universe would let me get – at least while allowing this physical body remain in this realm.

Prior to finding the path to enlightenment, no sense of presence or sense of self existed here — there was no Stephanie — that essence was simply a low-vibrational spirit/energy housed in a human shell. Trolling through life day after day, smiling when appropriate, being responsible, merely doing and thinking as I was told and taught — but never truly knowing the joy and happiness that accompanies the unconditional acceptance and love for myself, others and the awareness of the Higher Self.

While everyone’s journey will have exciting twists, forcing them to scamper about, questioning everything they thought they knew… here’s how the path to enlightenment and higher states of consciousness came about for this very reluctant-to-believe lady.

The Great Epiphany Before the Mind Quiets

The first epiphany in my journey was the startling insight that I had been merely swapping realities at my convenience… and wearing two masks. The kind you change like a chameleon at will or even sheer necessity. This clarity of this was profound, yet the realization simultaneously existed that I must have already KNOWN this was a part of my journey — 20 years ago — as the Comedy Tragedy Masks are so proudly applied to my as-ankle .as the Comedy Tragedy tattoo was being permanently penned onto my ankle 20 years ago…

The reality I was living in then (and had been forever in this realm) never felt right or like the truth. Politics, religion, education — everything that I had been taught or had ever placed a judgment on had always played a role in defining which mask I wore daily — or even minute by minute. By acknowledging that I was simply playing a recurring role on a set of actors continually running lines, sets me free of false illusions, forced me to quiet my mind in preparation for discovering actual truths. In other words, I understood that at that point I had to forget everything I ever knew — or believed to be true.

Whatever your magic and/are moments are, they’re likely to reveal some type of mind-bending, life-altering realization — universal truths that you haven’t seen (or haven’t been willing to) until that exact moment in time. You’re apt to have many small epiphanies before having the Big One, which is the state of enlightenment after the entire paradigm has burst… that moment when you wholly understand the very nature of the world.

The Quiet Mind is Kind, Compassionate, Humble, and Ego-Free

The peace and sense of tranquility that accompanies these epiphanies quiets the mind as you accept these truths, and begin to see yourself and the world beyond mere words or labels that have been placed upon ‘things and actions’ by external sources. The quiet mind begins peeling back these illusions and false concepts of right, wrong, good, bad, etc. while uncovering some deep down universal truths.

Many individuals unwillingly and unknowingly overestimate their self-importance, falsely believing that they somehow cause or solutions to problems in their life or in the world. Well, when you understand that everything in the universe is energy, you can then understand that the world is created of and orchestrated by frequencies that go beyond mere words and actions that belong to any one being. You can then see that you as ONE alone are not an essential component of either ‘problems’ nor responsible for ‘finding solutions;’ rather, you are likely to discover that those desire when manifested on a collective lever are all encompassing towards those intentions.

This is where the magic begins! With the hypnotic effect of false beliefs out of the picture, one can begin see an entirely different world — one that is orchestrated by a conscious intelligence far beyond words. With these insights, the transgression into seeing beyond the self naturally flows. The whole point of dropping these initial opinions is to allow you LOSE YOURSELF and the EGO… and you truly love and embrace the Unity of All Things. However, most at this state are now free to move about the cosmos more readily and begin embracing your powers of manifesting your own reality.

Losing Your Ego and Waking Up to a ‘Loving Reality’ is Beautiful

With no more dominating judgments, expectations, and sense of self-importance, many feel an immediate sense of happiness, lightness, and freedom. Love in all things is readily apparent, you are naturally happy, and you see the equality if all — the all one or none of beings and mother nature working and vibrating in harmony. Your world of duality may come to an end as the conscious and subconscious work in concert and that becomes your normal state naturally.

It takes many young souls such as myself a while to get here, while some truly enlightened spirits seem to master ascension and oneness with the Higher Self with less time and effort. However, you should always accept where you are on your journey — leaving beyond the distorted concepts of what ‘progression’ is in the old ‘logical, knowns’ that you released and know that you are well on your way.

Remember, No Judgments, No Labels, No Expectations — It is What it Is

Certainly, my path has many more levels to go, so I can only attest to my success, my path to enlightenment so far is wondrous, my experience… however, with a few excellent guides, higher vibrations, and solid intentions, the path I’m on has taken me a great distance.

DIANE WING: “10 Paths To Create Spiritual Integrity In Life”

spiritual-integrity_OMTimes_bigstock-Man-on-spiritual-journey-70258624 (6).jpg

Spiritual integrity is the act of authenticity, which is acting in accordance with one’s true nature, coupled with purity of intent and the unique expression of the divine nature. From individuals seeking enlightenment and inner peace to practitioners working in the professional metaphysical space, spiritual integrity can be pushed aside.

There are no rules for connecting to the divine, it is a very personal path each of us must take. However, there are certain consistencies that seekers can follow, in their own way, that strengthen that connection, increasing self-awareness and understanding of the ways of spirit.

Creating Spiritual Integrity in Life

In considering the path I have taken and that I have observed in others, here is a list of actions that have been shown to open the way to the divine and ensure the path of spiritual integrity:

Take right action – Before taking action, consider your options and determine what feels right to you. Does your body tense up or relax when considering your next move? Is it in your highest good and the highest good of those around you? Is it aligned with your personal and spiritual morals? Does it bring harm to yourself or another or does it help? Act for the highest good; honor and respect all life. Be in high service to others.

Walk the talk – If you are a practitioner or individual giving guidance to others, make sure you practice what you preach. Are you living in accordance with the life philosophy you impart to others? Do you take your own advice? Are you a shining example of the outcome you promise to others?

Make sure you are energetically clear – get rid of negativity on a regular basis; embrace inner peace. If there is a circumstance taking you off center that is out of your control, do the best you can and dump the extraneous anxiety into the ground. Try not to let negativity and anxieties accumulate. Lighten your load by practicing clearing, grounding, and protection methods every day.

Take responsibility – Own the decisions you make and the actions you take. Look for the lessons in every experience. Understand your role in the situation and what choices can be made going forward. Stop complaining and blaming others for your circumstances. Take appropriate action to move past the problem.

Connect to the divine – Connection to spirit is not about setting a time to meditate, going to your place of worship, or doing so only during prayer. It is a continuous connection, day and night, where you stay open and listen to divine guidance. Start your day with the intent of doing so, and it will increase the number of divine downloads you receive. Once received, the more likely you are to follow divine guidance, the stronger and more consistent the connection becomes.

As a practitioner, when sharing your intuitive messages with clients, deliver the message objectively; take your thoughts and feelings out of it. Your clients put their trust in you, so ensure they understand that they always maintain free will. Empower them to take control of their own lives.

Continuous improvement – Strive to evolve on a regular basis. Avoid stagnation and seek opportunities to express your true nature in new ways for the highest good. Stretch yourself and seek to learn something new every day.

Practice acceptance; suspend judgment – All paths are valid; differences among people enrich the world. If someone is following a path you disagree with, understand that it is their life and their way, then accept their choices as part of their lessons in this lifetime, just as you make choices you feel are best for you.

Expand your heart – Find ways to lift up and open your heart for the betterment of yourself and others. Beaming love and high vibrational energy uplifts the world, elevates your own frequency, and helps others feel good in the process.

Practice gratitude – Be deeply grateful for everything in your life, even when you think it’s negative at first. It is there for a reason, and spirit is trying to show you something that is important for your growth.

Take one of these ideas each month and practice embodying the concept on a daily basis. Soon embracing the divine in yourself and others through the practice of spiritual integrity becomes second nature.

STEPHANIE LUCAS: “Does Religion Matter?”

Religion

There are those who connect with a greater state of consciousness, those who understand themselves as an immortal, eternal, soul, and those who know the power of divine love…We are all divine love, and those who have realized this also recognize others with a similar awareness of the true nature of the soul. When you meet someone like this, you just seem to know they are a good person who’s compassionate and that you are one – regardless of their religious preferences or even their lack thereof…

ReligionCan You Feel the Truth Calling?

Once these insights seep into your subconscious, greater truths beckon to be realized on the conscious level. It calls to you – this calling comes from your soul. The soul is immaterial and immortal, and those of us who believe this often also believe in reincarnation, karma, and have certainly lived in the human form as a follower of multiple versions of religion. Perhaps, this is why many of you reading this may consider yourself more ‘spiritual’ than religious, as you understand the oneness of us all, regardless of one’s chosen religious or spiritual path.

When we consider the questions, ‘does religion matter?’ with this in mind, it truly doesn’t seem to matter whether one is Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Wiccan, or belongs to no religion whatsoever. We all have some kind of unifying soul-presence beckoning our faith to understand the ‘God’ presence in a new light. The soul calls upon us to have faith in humanity, in our physical selves, and in our quest to know the Higher Self – the soul calls us to realize these greater truths and to understand their source.

Religion

The Source of All Truth: YOU!

Many of us have a ‘method’ of communicating with our ‘God’ or ‘Divine Presence’ – typically some form of prayer, contemplation, or through meditation. These are actually very different paths; however, they all ultimately represent our desire to find the truths that are calling our soul. All one must do is go within themselves to find what they seek, and that search reveals the ultimate truth – that God is omnipresent, that his Source resides in each and every one of us…that as a collective, WE ARE the God-presence. That we are co-creators along with that presence, and that infinite wisdom and knowledge are accessible to us through our connection with all that our soul has experienced as an infinite essence. Listen to that source, that source that is you – trust your intuition and free your mind to experience all that is, knowing there’s so much more out there beyond this realm.

ReligionSo, does religion matter? To some it does – a great deal, in fact. To others, it matters not. However, as long as we all honor the chosen path and beliefs of others, never considering either aspect of one’s choice as ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ then we are embracing the divine love that we all are…accepting that we are each one part of God… and are vital parts of the collective.
