TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “Intuitive Astrology: December New Moon 2016”

december-new-moon-.jpg

You are an amazing being of infinite potential, and this New Moon is going to help you bring this energy to the surface.

The December New Moon falls in the earthy, wise and grounded sign of Capricorn on the 29th, which also happens to be my birthday!

This New Moon is peaceful and gentle and will be helping all of us to reflect on our goals for the year ahead and what type of energy we want to take with us into the new year.

Under the calming influence of this New Moon we will also be guided to plant our first seed for 2017, in soil that we have so diligently been preparing for a very long time.

Leading up to this New Moon we will all be feeling introspective and reflective about what we have achieved this year and just how far we have travelled. After the New Moon however, we are going to feel a glimmer of energy pushing us forward.

In fact, this New Moon is going to be pushing us to focus on our highest dreams and wishes for ourselves. We are also going to be feeling a strong push of energy that will be urging us to step up and take responsibility for ourselves and for our lives.

We may not be in control of everything that comes our way, but we sure are in control of how we handle everything that comes our way. We are co-creators in this Universe and this New Moon is going to be a strong reminder of that.

This would be the perfect time to start conjuring up new and exciting creations for 2017 as this New Moon will definitely be supporting you to do so.

This New Moon also falls at the same time as Mercury Retrograde. This combination of energy is likely to bring up new information to the surface or new facts that need to be addressed. Secrets may be revealed or you may uncover a hidden truth.

Truth is an interesting thing. What is true today may not be true tomorrow, which means that truth is really not something we can hold to or cling to. We have to allow truth to rise up in each moment and just the same, we have to be true to ourselves in each moment.

Think of this like the wise old Wizard who will pay you a visit on the night of the New Moon. The Wizard won’t say a word, instead he will point its staff on the path in front of you, illuminating everything that you have not been able to see just yet. This illumination will change how you see things, which will ultimately change your truth.

Many people have felt the crashing down of illusions or outdated structures this year, and now under the energy of this New Moon we are going to be given time to think about how we are going to rebuild for the future.

Capricorn energy is very practical, earthy and grounded but it also reflects and represents the energy that we put out into the world. Capricorn energy is about our outward expression and about taking responsibility for what energy we choose to co-create with.

Under the darkness of this New Moon, now would be the perfect time to start recharging your co-creator energy and cleansing away any negative or psychic debris that you have collected throughout the year. If you want a fresh start, this New Moon is going to grant you that.

This New Moon is also laced with the energy of love. Love and relationships are going to be highlighted around this New Moon and relationships may be a theme. This doesn’t just include romantic relationships but all relationships that we have with other people.

The time has come for us to really think about who we are surrounding ourselves with and who we want to continue to walk alongside on our journey.

Under this New Moon, weak relationships may be tested and you may find that some of the final releasing for this year is from relationships that are no longer serve your highest good.

Neptune, the planet of spirituality, higher consciousness and unconditional love will also be active around the time of this New Moon and will be shining its light on all of us.

This is the perfect time to go within and reconnect with that inner flame or that inner spark of magic that we all have inside.

Magical energy will be strong on this New Moon, so listen and trust your instincts and intuition. The more you tune into your intuitive self, the easier and more fluid your life will become.

Overall, December’s New Moon is very gentle and will be a soft and reflective reminder of just how far we have come and just how exciting the future is.

We have all been working so hard in 2016 and now it is time to plant the first seed in new soil.

This seed is going to be our first bloom for 2017 and it is going to smell sweeter, beam brighter and light up our entire pathway for the year ahead.

ASTROLOGY KING: “New Moon 29 December 2016 Dream Catcher”

dreamcatcher

The New Moon on Thursday 29 December 2016 is at 8 degrees Capricorn. The New Moon December 2016 astrology is excellent for making your dreams come true. The December 29 New Moon will and inspire you with passion, romance and motivation. If you lack direction it will be your dream catcher.

New Moon December 2016 makes no fewer than ten planetary aspects with some fixed star conjunctions too. This makes for endless opportunities and possibilities but the general theme is definitely positive. Good fortune and lasting happiness can be found by taking the spiritual high road to reach your dreams.

New Moon Meaning

A New Moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of another new 28 day cycle. Sun conjunct Moon means all possibilities are on the table. You can rightly put yourself in the forefront of new plans for the future. Old habits, behaviors and beliefs can be questioned as you search for new and inventive ways to make progress. This is the ideal time to make a fresh start and write down a to-do list.

The influence of a New Moon lasts for four weeks up to the next New Moon, in this case the January 27 New Moon. The best time for making a fresh start and for beginning new projects is during the first two weeks of a New Moon cycle. This waxing phase of the Moon lasts from December 29 to the January 12 Full Moon.

New Moon December 2016 Astrology

This New Moon seems straightforward enough to interpret. A New Moon with Mercury means communication and transport will be the major themes for the next 28 days. Looking closer at the New Moon December 2016 astrology chart below shows Mercury in retrograde motion. Great, so you can expect recent communication and transport problems to get worse and stay around for longer.

The story gets more detailed with the December 29 New Moon sextile Mars and Neptune. While still sounding basic with just the sextile aspect showing in the chart, the New Moon and Mercury sextile Mars and Neptune actually includes ten aspects. Then there are some major fixed stars to consider plus that signficant looking configuration involving Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. As usual, I will start with what I consider to be the most important influences on the New Moon and drill down from there.

New Moon conjunct Mercury puts the focus on your thinking and communications, making this a very busy time mentally. What you say and how you say it becomes more important. Your words carry more weight, they have greater meaning and influence. Your mind will be more active than usual which favors lots of interactions, clearing paperwork and bills, and receiving and sending letters and emails.

You may notice more interaction with people in your neighborhood and have more short trips around town. You may seek mental stimulation through social media and internet forums, news and documentaries on TV, radio, news papers and magazines. The news, media and journalism may themselves become news stories. This is also possible with other communication and transport systems and technology.

Mercury retrograde brings communication and technology breakdowns, nervous anxiety, travel delays and lost items. Any focus on news and transport is now likely to be about misinformation, accidents and delays. There is a feel of a difficult Mercury-Saturn aspect about Mercury retrograde, so you can also expect to dwell on things, reminisce about the past, or unexpectedly meet up with people from your past.

This particular Mercury retrograde phase is extreme and intense because Mercury stationed retrograde conjunct Pluto. This is ideal for deep research and uncovering secrets. For those interested in astrology or psychology, this should be a time of deep self-analysis and discovery. News stories about the news itself will now involve propaganda and hacking. Negotiations between states will be more protracted or be suspended.

To summarise so far with a Mercury retrograde New Moon, this should be a four-week period of reflection, contemplation and discussion. This is a good New Moon for thinking about how your thoughts affect your attitudes and moods. Thoughts are powerful things, the have energy and manifest around you as words and even actions. Prayer and positive thinking can make a real big difference to your life.

Then you can think about how your thoughts, attitudes and words affect the people around you. Do you need to make more effort so that your messages are clearly understood? Do you really listen or turn off? Do you give enough compliments and encouragement to your loved ones? Just as positive thinking can make a big difference to your life, so too can positive reinforcement make a big difference to the life of someone you care about.

New Moon December 2016 Fixed Stars

Due to the Precession of the Equinoxes, the Sagittarius Constellation now sits wholly in the Capricorn Sign. This is due to a fatal error in the construction our Zodiac over 2000 years ago. This is why I do not use Sun Signs for astrological interpretation but instead look to the Fixed Stars. Originally, our Zodiac:

was a convenient celestial measuring device, unrelated to astrological activity…it was being used at that time for the recording of astronomical data, yet observation of the effects of the planets for astrological purposes continued to be related to the visible constellations. [ Heavenly Imprints, Deborah Houlding]

The New Moon December 2016 astrology is influenced by two very different fixed stars in Sagittarius Constellation. Generally, this is a fortunate and fruitful Constellation indicating events pertaining to kings or a large portion of humanity.

Behind Mercury retrograde at 6°32′ Capricorn Sign is a yellow star on top of the Archer’s bow called Kaus Borealis. It has your typical Sagittarius/Ninth House/Jupiter nature. It stimulates mental activity and gives strength and flexibility when debating. It promotes a sense of justice with idealistic and humane ideas.

Ahead of the New Moon at 8°31′ Capricorn Sign is a nebula in the Face of the Archer called Facies. Keywords for this Pluto-like star include driven, focused, prolific, productive, profound, influential, weak eyesight, powerful insight, in your face, brave, tell it how it is, gritty and dark.

Adding fixed stars to the Mercury retrograde New Moon allows for a much deeper and more meaningful assessment of your thought patterns and communication style. Fixed star Facies provides insights from the darkest recesses of your mind. However, it can cause dangerous thoughts and make your words very direct and sometimes hurtful.

Fixed star Kaus Borealis turns your darkest thoughts into morally and culturally acceptable attitudes and ideas. While also adding great force behind your reasoning, it brings a flexibility to your thinking that softens any hard-line stances.

It will be interesting to see how this influence plays out in global disputes and negotiations over peace and the human rights of refugees. Hopefully the idealism of Kaus Borealis will quiten the threats of war from Facies.

Mars Neptune Romance and Idealism

The next major influence shown in New Moon December 2016 astrology chart above is the sextile to Mars and Neptune. Mars with Neptune on its own can be good or bad. In this case it is on a fortunate fixed star with the friendly aspects, so it is going to behave nicely.

Mars conjunct Neptune will therefore make your feel romantic and sensual. You should enjoy this spiritual trip with more energy and enthusiasm to chase your dreams and goals. Love relationship will benefit from your magic touch, while dating will benefit from your sexual magnetism and charismatic appeal. You can confidently pour your energy into things you care about like charities or human rights work. You can heal the sick with your positive energy.

Fixed star Skat at 9°06′ Pisces gives good fortune and lasting happiness. It is also called “The Wish” but only grants your hopes and desires if you have worked hard to deserve them. I won’t list the six aspects involved in the sextile between the Mercury New Moon and the Mars Neptune conjunction but give a brief summary of the combined influence.

The sextile aspect is energetic and expressive, so acts like a good combination of Mercury and Mars. It makes both the Mars Neptune conjunction and the Mercury New Moon alignment manifest their best qualities and work together for your benefit. If everything in your life is running perfectly then it should feel like you are living out your dreams.

For everyone else it will help you get closer to your most passionate desires. If you are unsure what you want in life it will act like a dream catcher and inspire you with passion and motivation. Your feelings, intentions, thoughts and actions will all be focused on working out how to reach your goals. The planets, fixed stars and aspects all combine to make you incredibly focused and driven to explore every possible avenue to make your dreams come true.

It will be best to focus on one particular goal, something you feel passionately about with no doubts in your mind. Your dream does not have to be so personal but could be furthering a particular cause. This could involve helping others through charity work or fighting for the rights of the disadvantaged.

Mars conjunct Neptune makes a mean spiritual warrior. The New Moon December 2016 astrology suggests a victory in spiritual warfare. The winner being the side with the most enlightened or morally just belief system. I’m sure this means a major defeat for Islamic State in both Iraq and Syria.

Victories will also be possible in human rights, environment causes, social justice and animal welfare. At the most personal level this New Moon is perfect for battling and defeating your inner demons and any negative spiritual entities in your environment. Addictions and other bad habits will be easier to conquer. You can be the master of your own desires.

It will be easier to put your plans into action after Mercury turns direct on January 8, 2017. I would leave it as close to possible, but before the January 12 Full Moon to make final decisions or sign documents.

The combined effect of the right angled triangle involving Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus will throw up some surprising opportunities for you to take advantage of. Jupiter opposite Uranus will make some seem way too crazy to even consider. Jupiter sextile Saturn gives the common sense and sound judgement skills to make the right choice.

Saturn trine Uranus makes New Moon December 2016 the ideal time to make positive changes in your life because they should run smoothly. Change will not be upsetting or erratic as it sometimes can. You will remain calm and patient, planning every step methodically.

SANDRA VARCAS: “Mercury Retrograde In Capricorn And Sagittarius: Dec 19th, 2016 — Jan 8th, 2017”

gnfd.gif

Our True Face

Conjunct Pluto as it stations retrograde in Capricorn, this is an incisive Mercury with little patience for subjectivity, or sensitivity for that matter!  We may be disappointed if we want life to go gently with our feelings as the year closes, for there are more potent agendas at work, in service of truth-telling and revelation no matter the cost.  This Mercury wants to squeeze the last drops of wisdom out of 2016 before the new year begins, and won’t let anything be swept beneath the carpet for a more convenient time.  In the spirit of effective closure and resolution of unfinished business, this is an important time to clear the air and face up to whatever in our life has become undeniable.

It has been an explosive year, what with the Uranis/Eris conjunction and the Saturn/Neptune square The personal and collective shadow is being purged.  Brought to light for all to see, it has at times triggered panic and despair alongside strengthened commitment to forge new paths and a deepening of faith in our ability to both endure and transform.  We are immersed in this process now, and will be for quite some time.  We are nowhere near out of the woods.  Far from it.  And this melting pot of sometimes traumatic change cannot be escaped.  Renewal of our commitment to a radical realignment with a more vibrant, courageous and heart-centered existence will become increasingly vital in the months ahead.  Meanwhile, Mercury insists that we face up to the truths of our lives, the secrets we guard and the shame we feel but deny.  It deplores artifice and rejects pretense.  This Mercury seeks only the straight-up truth which it insists we honor with every breath.

Doing so may not come naturally, but the more deeply we embrace unpalatable truths the freer we become.  It’s okay to not be the person we want to be or have insisted we are.  It’s alright to be flawed, messed up, an emotional wreck barely getting by!  At this juncture it’s not what we are that matters, but how honest we are about it.  If we present a face to the world which isn’t as real as it could be, obscuring aspects of our nature we’d prefer to deny, this Mercury retrograde could see our true face exposed for all to see.  If, however, we can simply let go and accept this is me, warts and all, like it or lump it and take me as you find me, we may just discover that the rejection we feared is replaced with love and support, acceptance and deepening respect.

Above all, it is now vital to remember the more candid we can be about our own truth, the less others will have to hide.  What we do for one we do for all, and the more people who add honesty and authenticity to the collective soup, the easier it becomes for us all to do the same.  We are none of us perfect in egoic eyes, and yet all are precious gems through the eyes of love.  The more we can love our own flaws and failings, quirks, foibles and idiosyncrasies the easier it becomes to accept those of others and see beyond the charade of who we pretend to be.

There is much to be done in the coming year.  Great challenges lie ahead and we are nowhere near done with this shadow revelation.  But we can each contribute to a more tolerant and progressive world by dropping our own pretense, embracing the truth of who we are and daring to share it with those around us, knowing that doing so helps them do the same.  What we endeavor to hide will be unceremoniously revealed; where we aim to deceive, we will fail; what we pretend, will be exposed as a lie.  On this we can absolutely rely as Mercury and Pluto do their work deep within the fabric of our lives.  But truth, authenticity, honesty and good-natured humor — even in the face of our greatest challenges — will all contribute to an atmosphere of acceptance, support and love, allowing compassion to rise like a bubble and dissolve even the most well-crafted and deep-rooted lie.

TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “Winter Solstice 2016: The Dark Night of the Soul”

the-dark-night-of-the-soul-2

In the Northern Hemisphere, December 21st marks the Winter Solstice and the dark night of the soul.

Traditionally the Winter Solstice has been a time to honor darkness and to journey deep within to reflect, restore and nourish from the inside out.

Every living being on this planet is a reflection of dark and light.  As beautiful as a rose is when it’s in full bloom, it too still needs to die and wither away into the darkness in order to be reborn.  Just like the petals float away and the bud closes for the winter in order to regenerate, we too follow a similar process.

Nature is always providing us clues as to the cosmic energy around us and where Mother Earth is directing her attention.  By following the rhythms and cycles of the Goddess Mother Earth, we too can bring harmony and equilibrium to our own state of being.

The Winter Solstice also represents the Sun shifting into the 10th sign of the zodiac, Capricorn.  Capricorn energy is practical, grounded and forces us to really assess and reflect on our lives and the energy we are putting out into the world.

This year, the Winter Solstice also falls at the same time as Mercury Retrograde, which means that we are all going to be given a glimpse of buried thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Seeing as Mercury will also be travelling through Capricorn at this time, it is important for us to look at things in a practical and almost black and white manner.  Perhaps this dark night of the soul is one that we have to approach using our masculine, logical side of the brain.

Perhaps we have to allow ourselves to see who we truly are without running, without hiding in our emotions and without judgement.

Celebrating the darkness is not about celebrating evil.  Celebrating the darkness is about celebrating the depths of who we are, and honouring that we all have parts of us that the light is yet to touch.

Celebrating darkness is about celebrating the seeds of potential that live within us all.  When your soul came to this earth, it came equipped with everything it needed in order to achieve what it needed to achieve.

The seeds are buried within you, and only by acknowledging them, nourishing them and giving them time to grow in the darkness, will you be able to bring them into the light.

On the Winter Solstice, it will be time for you to travel through the soil of your own soul and see what needs to be tended to.  This is your time to go within, silence your mind and travel deep to the place where your soul meets your body.

In the Southern Hemisphere you will not be experiencing the dark night of the soul, instead you will be experiencing the Summer Solstice.  This is a time to reflect on your light and to get out into the world to shine!

Just like the flowers will be in bloom, those living in the Southern Hemisphere will also be feeling this energy and will be encouraged to start taking action, making plans and turning their creations into realities.

It is interesting that we can be experiencing both of these energies on the same planet. But really, there is no separation to these energies as they are one in the same cycle.

No matter where you live, the Solstice is a beautiful and magical time to tend to your needs, nourish yourself and support yourself in the best possible way moving forward.

It is also a time to celebrate the end of the year, and just how far you have come. Your soul, your body and your mind and have all made it through this year stronger, wiser and more beautiful than ever before.  And this is worth celebrating.
